The Chief Information Officer is responsible for:

  • Leading the IT function and overseeing technology change delivery, on-going IT services and future technology strategy;
  • Leading and influencing business process design and technology strategy and architecture;
  • Responsible for the development, delivery and robust monitoring of IT service delivery, technology and communication services;
  • Manage the IT infrastructure and resources to ensure the organization is able to operate effectively, efficiently & securely;
  • Ensure that robust contingency, risk management and business continuity plans are in place and are coordinated with the organization’s business continuity plans;
  • Lead on building positive, collaborative relationships with Departments, Project Leaders and Executives in order to:
    • Understand the organisation’s current and future needs 
    • Articulate clearly the risks, benefits, costs and opportunities of potential solutions aiming to maximize funding implementation decision making.
    • Accordingly develop the IT strategy and service,
  • Providing leadership to the IT department resources (staff and consultants);
  • Redesigning the structure of the IT department and ensuring the right organizational design for effective delivery of the operations and design of innovative IT solutions;
  • Strengthening IT team capabilities to deliver transformational change whilst improving levels of IT service to the organization;
  • Closely leading the management of outsourced providers and technology partners to deliver on time and to agreed levels of service;
  • The overall IT operational budget and investments of approx. $25 million.
